What we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address, a username and a password. The password is stored in hashed form and we cannot read it. When you post, we store the content of the post and the time you posted it. If you choose to add them, we also store a profile picture, a location and a short description.

What is public

Your username, your posts, reviews, questions and replies, the date you joined, and any profile picture, location and description you add are visible to everyone, including search engines. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Posts about your health are sensitive. Do not post anything that identifies you if you want it kept private.

How we use it

We use your email address to confirm your account, reset your password and contact you about your account. We use your posts to run the forum and review sections.

Service providers

Account data and posts are stored with our database provider, Supabase, and the site is served by our hosting provider. They process data on our behalf.

Advertising and analytics

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. Peppapete also displays advertising. Advertising providers may set cookies or use similar technologies; this section must be updated with the specific providers once they are chosen.

Your choices

You can remove your own posts and edit or clear your profile at any time. You can delete your account yourself from the Edit profile form on your profile page. Deleting it permanently removes your profile, picture, reviews, questions, replies and forum posts. Threads you started remain, without your name, so other members' replies are not lost.

Age

The site is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
